Our organization seeks to empower individuals who value inclusivity, comradery, and personal excellence. We provide a unique culture and set of experiences that help young people develop the leadership skills required to have a positive impact on their community and equip them for personal and professional success. ABOUT GEARWORKS GearWORKS is a series of educational programs, tools, and events presented by The Cavaliers Arts, Performance & Education. Our educational events, including the Summer Academy, Chop Sessions, and audition experience offerings, are geared toward motivated students who are looking to grow as performers through direct learning opportunities with The Cavaliers’ World-Class staff and educators. ABOUT THE CAVALIERS DRUM & BUGLE CORPS The Cavaliers were founded in 1948 by the late Don W. Warren, as the drum and bugle corps for Boy Scout Troop 111 in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. The Cavaliers have won 20 national championships, including seven Drum Corps International (DCI) championships since 1992. At The Cavaliers, we embrace the brotherhood created in this all-male marching arts environment. We seek to positively impact our community by teaching skills that enhance the performer’s artistic, athletic, and leadership ability. Our vision, to develop better men for a better tomorrow. ABOUT CHROMIUM WINDS Chromium Winds (CW) is the independent winds ensemble representing The Cavaliers based out of Rosemont, Ill. Participating in the Winter Guard International (WGI) Winds circuit, CW will offer young male and female performers a competitive performance outlet in the Chicagoland area that builds on the style, creativity, and excellence of The Cavaliers’ award-winning programs and ensembles.
